The Regional Booking Service

The Regional Booking Service is available to all partners with Mornington Peninsula Regional Tourism should they wish to use. The Service is managed by the Mornington Peninsula Visitor Information Centre Team and is a free service to visitors. It is an online booking service that is accessed via Mornington Peninsula Regional Tourism’s website visitmorningtonpeninsula.org but is also available by phoning or visiting the Mornington Peninsula Visitor Information Centre in Dromana. There is a 10% commission payable on all bookings made via the Booking Service.

To ensure that Bookeasy continues to deliver quality and timeliness of service for Bookeasy Visitor information
centres support queries, Bookeasy advises that ALL operator support queries must be directed to the operators Bookeasy Mothership.

It is Bookeasy policy that any member support requests directly to Bookeasy support from will be redirected to the Operator’s Mothership for investigation.

Bookeasy has increasingly received a large number of calls from both Accommodation operators and Bookeasy booking centre regarding channel managers connecting to Bookeasy. Accommodation providers that wish to
use a channel manager do so at their own accountability. All Channel manager queries should always be directed to the Channel Manager who is updating Bookeasy. Bookeasy Support is always willing to assist Channel Managers directly in their investigations.

IMPORTANT FOR MPT MEMBERS USING BOOKEASY: BOOKEASY are not taking direct calls from operators.  They will direct you to contact your "mothership".  The "mothership" is the visitor infomartion centre where your listing was initially created.  It is easy to find out who is your mothership by clicking on "online booking control" under the General Details tab.  If you wish to change your mothership to the Mornington Peninsula Visitor Information Centre so that we can offer phone support, please email this request to info@tourism.mornpen.vic.gov.au stating that this is what you want to do.

Updating Your Rates - YOUR responsibility

Visitors book accommodation online at all hours of the day and night.  They also book some of their holidays well in advance (more than 12 months), therefore it’s important to ensure that your rates and availability (across all websites, not just www.visitmorningtonpeninsula.org) are all up to date.

The Mornington Peninsula Visitor Centre along with each accommodation provider has a legal responsibility according to Consumer Affairs (see attached guide) to ensure that all information displayed on any website and information provided by our service is accurate and honoured. We are therefore unable to cancel or amend prices or cancel bookings once they have been booked and paid for.

Please remember that is your responsibility to update your availability and rates in Bookeasy/ResOnline/Room Manager, and keep in mind that visitors have the ability to view availability and book up to 2 years in advance from today’s date.

Accommodation Booking Service Training

Booking Service for Tours, Attractions and Events

The Booking Service is available for Tours, Attractions and Events.  Using Bookeasy, MPRT partners can easily manage the number of tickets and dates available for their attraction or tour.  Tickets and Tours are featured directly on the front page of www.visitmorningtonpeninsula.org and the booking service enables consumers to book and pay immediately on line for the tour of their choice.  A book now button can be added to your own website with a link to your Bookeasy Booking page. For operators using Rezdy, let us know and we can add you to our service. Bookeasy can import all your information.
