Bookeasy Upgrade

As of May 1st all current operators on the Regional Booking Service that are using the basic Bookeasy console will be upgraded to the Room Operator console.  There is no charge for this service and will not affect your rooms, rates, availability calendars, descriptions or images.  The console will look a little different but all the information will still be there.  Contact the Booking Service for more information on 03 5987 3078.

If you are already using Room Operator or Room Manager you will not notice any change at all!

Bookeasy Customer Service Announcement

To ensure that Bookeasy continues to deliver quality and timeliness of service for Bookeasy Visitor information
centres support queries, Bookeasy advises that ALL operator support queries must be directed to the operators Bookeasy Mothership.

It is Bookeasy policy that any member support requests directly to Bookeasy support from will be redirected to the Operator’s Mothership for investigation.

Bookeasy has increasingly received a large number of calls from both Accommodation operators and Bookeasy booking centre regarding channel managers connecting to Bookeasy. Accommodation providers that wish to
use a channel manager do so at their own accountability. All Channel manager queries should always be directed to the Channel Manager who is updating Bookeasy. Bookeasy Support is always willing to assist Channel Managers directly in their investigations.

IMPORTANT FOR MPT MEMBERS USING BOOKEASY: BOOKEASY are not taking direct calls from operators.  They will direct you to contact your "mothership".  The "mothership" is the visitor infomartion centre where your listing was initially created.  It is easy to find out who is your mothership by clicking on "online booking control" under the General Details tab.  If you wish to change your mothership to the Mornington Peninsula Visitor Information Centre so that we can offer phone support, please email this request to stating that this is what you want to do.

Updating Your Rates - YOUR responsibility

Visitors book accommodation online at all hours of the day and night.  They also book some of their holidays well in advance (more than 12 months), therefore it’s important to ensure that your rates and availability (across all websites, not just are all up to date.

The Peninsula Visitor Centre along with each accommodation provider has a legal responsibility according to Consumer Affairs (see attached guide) to ensure that all information displayed on any website and information provided by our service is accurate and honoured. We are therefore unable to cancel or amend prices or cancel bookings once they have been booked and paid for.

Please remember that is your responsibility to update your availability and rates in Bookeasy/ResOnline/Room Manager, and keep in mind that visitors have the ability to view availability and book up to 2 years in advance from today’s date.

Accommodation Booking Service Training

The MPT Visitor Information Services team has been busy working with MPT member accommodation businesses that are using the MPT Booking Service facility to upskill and upgrade their Booking Service functionality.

Over the last few months, 40% of MPT accommodation operators have received intensive one on one training sessions with the MPT booking team in Room Manager and Resonline.  These systems are enabling businesses to sell inventory online whilst managing their rooms via one console. Operators are already reaping the benefits of increased occupancy and are receiving bookings from a number of different websites.

Visitor Centre Booking Staff recently visited the hub that is Bookeasy/Room Manager and Resonline in QLD.  As well as receiving further training in these systems - that will ultimately benefit MPT members, they were able to raise common issues with the support team and discuss ways of ensuring a smoother transition for our operators.  Room Manager also announced that they are implementing online tutorials for Room Manager in the not too distant future and we would encourage operators to utilise these.

Booking Service for Tours & Attractions

The Booking Service is now available for Attractions and Tours.  Using Bookeasy, MPT members can easily manage the number of tickets and dates available for their attraction or tour.  Tickets and Tours are featured directly on the front page of and the MPT booking service enables consumers to book and pay immdeiately on line for the tour of their choice.  Contact us for more information
