On 10 May 2016, 60 of the Mornington Peninsula Regions 160 Visitor Information Centre volunteers attended a National Volunteer Week Celebration at the Peninsula Community Theatre.

Mornington Peninsula Shire CEO Carl Cowie officially opened the day commending the contribution to our region. Volunteers from the 6 Visitor Information Centres; Mornington Peninsula (Dromana), Frankston, Sorrento, Western Port, Mornington Courthouse and Mornington Community Information Support Centre put in some 30,000 house every year ensuring that some of the 4.7 million visitors are able to navigate our beautiful region effectively and make the most of what is on offer. Following a recognition of service ceremony facilitated by MC Tania Treasure, Mayor Cr Graham Pittock and Mayor Cr James Dooley all attendees enjoyed a delicious thank you lunch and opportunity network.

A huge thank you to all the volunteers who work hard to promote the region and provide a great benefit to our community!
