As many industry partners know we are working on delivering a brand new promotional video for Mornington Peninsula as part of the destination campaign Find Your Way. Well, this weekend we wrapped the filming for our video. We are currently keeping imagery a bit of a secret due to the shoot being conducted on a closed set, but we can tell you that the region certainly did shine over the three days of filming and we managed to capture the many different sides of the Mornington Peninsula including the different weather patterns!

While we can't directly name names at this stage, we wanted to take the opportunity to thank the businesses, volunteers and locations who helped us over the past few days/weeks in the 'making of' this video. We had some very early mornings with some late nights and tricky logistics in some areas, but we can certainly say that our industry partners absolutely demonstrated the reason why we have one of the best tourism regions ever!  Our cast and crew were blown away by the welcoming generosity at every location. So, thank you!

We can't wait to share the finished result with you…
All will be revealed at the end of year Annual Mornington Peninsula Regional Tourism Industry Update to be held on Tuesday 1st December, 5pm.

Our thoughts are with James, Helene and staff of The Baths Sorrento after the devastating fire at the restaurant on Sunday 18th October. We understand that they are in discussions with the Mornington Peninsula Shire and businesses who can provide a relatable perspective to determine what can be done as they work through the processes of re-building their business. However long the process takes, Mornington Peninsula Regional Tourism will support The Baths as they recover.

The award-winning training resource, the Tourism e kit, is moving to a new home!

The Tourism e kit is currently being transitioned from the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) to a digital coaching specialist company, Digital Coaching International.

Digital Coaching International Pty Ltd has been set up by digital marketing experts Liz Ward (former CEO of ATDW) and Fabienne Wintle who have made it their mission to make it simple for small and medium sized Australian tourism businesses to reap the rewards of web technology.

On July 1st, DCI is launching, an online community created to support and up-skill Tourism operators who want to make the most of web technology to grow their businesses.

According to Liz, becoming a Tribe Member will give you added value by not only giving you access to the updated Tourism e kit tutorials, but will also connect you to a Live Chat Hotline and friendly support forums to fast track your digital marketing.

Your business will benefit, as your subscription will ensure that you are kept up to date with critical tourism web marketing changes so that your online presence can be enhanced and is not negatively impacted. For instance, Tourism Tribe will keep you informed and provide practical advice on the steps to take to avoid losing search engine rankings when Google makes changes to its search algorithms.

Although the Tourism e kit has previously been available at no cost, DCI will need to make the e kit financially sustainable by charging a nominal fee.

Monthly subscription to the Tribe with all the bells and whistles will cost $10.95 per month or $99.00 per annum ($110.00 thereafter) (GST inclusive).

If you are an existing Tourism e kit member, Digital Coaching International is offering a special sign-up offer for a limited time only. Please contact Digital Coaching International on +61 (0)7 3103 7994 for further details.
